Its 7:09 am here in Seoul, Korea. I just woke up an hour ago and couldn’t go back to sleep thanks to my other two bed mates. They snore worse than my grandma and grandpa! Somebody suffocate them with a pillow please…(find and insert picture of cartoon suffocating other cartoon with pillow). Everything started out fine yesterday morning as we left DFW to LAX. The person sitting next to me was a financial consultant, we chatted back and forth for a good hour before minding our own business and wishing each other off as we landed in LAX. Had a two hour layover there at the airport before heading to Tokyo. Barely slept on the 12 hour flight to Tokyo. There was another nice gentlemen on the flight who was from Penn State. He founded a advertising agency back in Washington 20 years ago and now works as a traveling consultant. His goal is to help big companies change their relations with employees. Hah good luck if you ever get to CVS! Besides that I watched 3 movies on the flight and had plenty of cups of sprite to drink.
We landed in Incheon around 10ish and had plan to reach the nana guesthouse around 11ish to meet with Alpha, Nara, and Nuri to go see the nightlife afterwards. We didn’t reach there until like almost 1 n the morning (v_v). Everything was on schedule as we got off the plane, took the airport railway towards Hongdik University. All the girls and guys actually look quite a lot better than I expected. It was like divided into two groups. Either you were handsome/pretty or you were below average/meh with very little in the middle. We were suppose to exit Line 2 exit 8, but as we made it through a few gate and approach the final gate my sister tried to swipe her card. (beep beep…Denied) Uhh…can’t get through. What do we do? Uhhh I guess there must not be any funds left on the card??? Tried to reload the card. Placed card on the machine to reload the funds. “Denied. Please contact station official for help” Reached out pressed the red button for help. Beep. “Anyong-haseyo” (Says other stuff in korean) “Do you speak english?” (Me and sister traded confusing glances). We gave up talking to the man on the booth. Actually, I think he just stopped talking after we didn’t speak Korean back. We went all the way back to the original place we started to see if there was anyone that would be able to help us. Did that for another 40 minutes. That didn’t help. Made our way back to line 2 exit 8. I walked up to the exit gate and swiped my card. Tada! It worked :D. My sister comes after me and swipes hers “Denied”. Sister frantically looks at me: “Go find someone!” Paced back and forth on opposite sides of each other for another 10 minutes until I was able to find this eastern european group of guys who ended up asking one of the subway station cleaner “Ahjussi” to open the gate. We made our way ahead and took a left up the stairs to the surface of Seoul. It was like New York except swap out the white people with asians. We could assume everything was fine after that we made it safely to our hostel for the night right??? WRONG. Hahaha. We ended going up and down Seoul for another hour hopelessly trying to navigate our way to the hostel. My arms were literally spaghetti noodles from lugging that luggage around for hours. Eventually, we went back to the subway again and flagged down a station official and called Alpha to come get us. Made our way to the Nana guesthouse. Dropped our stuff off. Korean BBQ and then wandering around the streets of Seoul the rest of the night.
Day 1 recap complete.
3/8/2015
Woke up and went to the cat cafe. Meow Meow (^._.^)ノ Girl who made our coffee was pretty.
Walked around downtown. Its sooo much different during the daytime compared to the night time in Seoul. All the old people are out and all the college kids are all hung over. Coffee shops and Paris baguettes are literally on every corner.
Eventually, Alpha picked us up. Almost!…got a ticket for jaywalking, but then police realized we were foreigners. woof v_v. Didn’t do it again! We went downtown to a brunch place. Walked around the streets and stopped at a tea place as shown above. The green tea roll and ice cream were the best anywhere I’ve ever eaten. I think Nara and Alpha agrees too! Just look at their faces 😀
We went to the castle. It was just like what was in the historical korean dramas I watched.
Alpha defying physics and walking on water. A statue of the leader on the right. That’s all I have to say about that…:D Later that night we went to the Seoul tower. Took a while to get there with Alpha and Nara back seat driving each other. We went up a one way road…honk honk.
3/9/2015
We arrived in Daegu. Alpha and Nara’s apartment view from the 9th floor o_o Wahhhhhh…biggest apartment in all of Daegu. 5 beds and 3 baths. Also comes with two doggies too.
Went to Hyundai department store. They belong to Club Jasmine. To qualify you have to have spent at least 80,000 dollars over a year time span. That’s how much I make a year after post tax (sighhh). Shopped for Mimi’s beauty stuff. The staff in korea are sooo attentive. They even insisted on holding your basket while you shop. I love it compared to America. Indian food to close it out.
Dog Cafe.

We went up to the mountain to see the Buddha and temples. Probably came a couple weeks too early. Nara said the cherry blossom would be out in a couple weeks. Shrug…its okay I didn’t come here to see the flowers. As we approaching the gates to the entrance, a quail comes running across us with a man chasing it. He arched back with his cane and whoooooshh two seconds later that quail was twitching on the ground. Old man grabbed it and ran off. Girls in the car screamed WAHHHHHHHHH. We pulled into the parking lot and there was a cat meowing at us. Guess what? Something put a hole in its side. Not a good day for lil animal . Frozen pond, lots of steps, and a big statue.
We stopped by a hole in the wall place. Nara said this place might look like shit but the food was good. She wasn’t lying. the pancakes were amazinggggg :D. Om nom nom…
Nuri so full…must put food in mouth to have food baby. UGHHHHHHH
Do you know why I like pictures? Memories? Because it keep us immortal like vampires.

Busan. This is the second largest city in South Korea I believe behind Seoul and Daegu. Home to the largest department store in the world. Nara said in 3 years Daegu will claim that title. We parked the car on a revolver. She said “go go go” to cross the street. Almost got us ran over! Stephanie was standing in the middle of the street putting her hands up like “whaa whaa”…there’s a car coming your way you should run instead of stopping (v_v) sigh…What a deer in the headlights. We walked along the beach side and went to the department store afterwards. Shop. Eat. Walk.
Fish market
Close ups of fish market
They turned into food. Was not pleased that people didn’t eat so much so I had to scarf it down.
